Farm vacations with a view
of the Dolomites
Our farm offers a unique experience for young and old.
At the Gasserhof in Barbiano, South Tyrol, you live in the midst of a breathtaking mountain world with a wonderful view of the Sciliar and the Alpe di Siusi. The farm is family-run and comprises an extensive area that is mainly used for fruit growing.
The outdoor area has a large lawn for sunbathing, a farm garden and herb garden. In fine weather, the hammock invites you to relax. The arbor offers an idyllic seating area, for example for barbecues.
The central location of the farm makes it possible to go on wonderful alpine hikes with children without the need for a lift and it is also not far to the popular ski areas Alpe di Siusi, Val Gardena and Sella Ronda.
The Gasserhof, a family-run business, spans an extensive area primarily dedicated to fruit cultivation. In addition to various apple varieties, the so-called "Wimmen," which refers to the grape harvest in South Tyrol, also begins in September. At Gasserhof, we grow Sauvignon Gris.

Sustainability for a better quality of life
Solar energy
At the Gasserhof, conscious interaction with nature is a priority. The electricity comes from the farm's own photovoltaic system.
Herb garden
In our herb garden you will find rosemary, sage, oregano, basil, camomile, lemon balm, parsley, chives, marjoram, mint, tarragon and thyme. A large selection of vegetables comes from our farm garden and the fresh eggs from our own hens.
Recycling
We contribute to sustainability and separate our waste into metal and cans, glass, paper, residual waste, organic waste, aerosols and batteries.
Harvest
Our apple juice pressed from our own apples tastes particularly good. During and after the harvest you can taste the different apple varieties.
Effective heat generation
The hot water and heating are provided by a wood chip system. The wood for this comes from our own forestry.
Barbiano plums
Barbiano is also known for its plums, which also grow on the Gasserhof farm.
